This is my niece Katlyn "Katie" she had her first visit to the ER I think it was yesterday. She and Gavin were playing around and she hit her head on a glass candle holder and well the picture tells the rest of the story. She wasn't all smiles when they took her to the ER when they gave her the shots to numb the cut, she was screaming. Mikki said that now she doesn't even know they are there. She got 20 sutures. That's my Katie, she'll have a nasty scar on her forehead.

AAHHHH......... A Day Off.
Oh the joys of a day off. Being able to just sit and do NOTHING for a little while, to not be held to time constraints, to not have to smile if I don't want, to not have to frown if I don't want, to not have to answer my phone if I don't want.... unless it's Kim, to just be able to sit around in my comfortable clothes and not have a tie on, to not have to fix my hair, to not have to shave.... til church time:) to be able to sit and look out the window in complete, blissful, boredom; to just be able to take my dogs for a walk, or walk around the lake, wash the car, or fry my brain playing PS2 and winning the World Series, or to sit and aimlessly type on my blog and know that right now, someone who is working somewhere, will read it and just might have a twinge of jealousy that they are not in my shoes at this very moment, that is, if I were wearing shoes. How I enjoy my days off! Just want to let all of you out there know that I'm enjoying my day and I hope you are too!
Just to give the full effect, I thought you'd enjoy seeing "Day OFF Hair".... and a LARGE FOREHEAD!!!! Have a good day!!!

Wonderful Business Opportunity
I think I'm going to open a funeral home that treats people like we are treated when we go to restaurants. Really! I think it would go over great. When the phone rings at 3 AM, I'll answer, then let off a huge sigh and say, "Well, can it wait til in the morning? Our Funeral Directing Staff has just shut down for the night." AND perhaps, "We don't have the blue casket for your FATHER, but we will substitute the PINK one instead." "Nope, you can't sit in that spot, you have to sit over there with all those people! I know you're family, but you are dressed in a black suit with a red tie. All those people have black and red on, you must be seated with them." What do ya think? Would it go over? OF COURSE NOT!!!! So, why do local restaurants think they can treat their customers that way? Is it just us, or is it the whole community? I dunno, I guess I'm just tired of the rolling eyes by hostesses, sighs of waiters, and closed kitchens before locked doors. Anyway, just thought I'd present that to you. "Nope, can't bury your grandma, I know that's what you want, but we can only perform cremations today. Our burial crew has already shut down their SHOVELS!!!"

Happy V-Day!!
Or does V-Day have something to do with WWII, well, to some it may fit! Anyway, hope everyone who has someone special, enjoys your special day. To all who don't quite have someone special yet or who have a prospect of a special someone, I wish you a very special and loving, mushy, cute, cuddly day in hopes you will find that special someone to share this special day with. Happy Valentine's Day! I believe it is 7 times, for all who are wondering... the word special that is.... Oh, there's 8!

PLAY BALL!!!
Well, it's about that time of year again. Four more days til the greatest sport of all begins it's training to see who will make it to the Fall Classic. Yep, baseball season is upon us. I know I'm not a "Die-hard" fan, but I do enjoy the game. Something about the excitement of pitch and catch, hearing the crack of a bat, and the Ump yell "SSSTEEEEEERRRRIIIIKE!" It makes me think back to when I was a "Die-Hard", back in Jr. High and High School. I used to get my jam box outside and listen to Mark Holts and Eric Neadell on WBAP broadcasting the Rangers playing whoever and usually losing, but I didn't care, I was enjoying the spring air and playing catch with the wall. Yeah, the wall... Not many friends in the neighborhood, and I didn't really want to play with them anyway. None of them wanted to play catch with a golf ball. Yeah, that's right again! I read in a book called "The Rookie" Disclaimer: The adds on display in the first photo do not reflect the views, opinions, or beliefs of the author.

Speaking of Faces...
This one's for all the guys! Here's a few pics of a small face lift I did to our Altima. It came standard with hubcaps and that just won't do! I don't know why but I have to have wheels. It made the car look a bit sportier. They are 17's instead of the standard 16's so it's a bit lower profile looking, but its actually the same height as it was before. Here's some before and after pics.
(The old Hubcaps, YUCK!)
(New, Shiny 17 inch Rims)
A Crash Coarse in Skin Care
This past weekend I went Shopping in Dallas and so I bought some things and such. I was really excited to go into the store called " Lush" it is homemade organic cosmetics. I had bought some face stuff there. Well, this one product I bought was a face mask. Well I didn't read the label very well and it has to be refrigerated, which I did. But, it has to be used by Feb 19, 07, because its fresh! So that was a waste of money. Well then I thought I left it at Amanda's and I didn't it was in my trunk. I left it out in 68 degree weather and I was so excited that I found it when I went to pick it up out of the trunk it slipped out of my hands and busted on the ground. I really think the Lord didn't want me to use that guacamole green mask.

The Green Army's Final Strike
That's right, the Riskiest Risker Risked it all and won his FIRST game. In the past 6 years we have played the game of Risk, the "Mexican" as Joseph stated, has never won until now. He beat the Black army in a weak roll and took the game. Congratulations to the Mexican for the BIG win!!! The 2007 Score Card Reads as follows, Black "I Really do win all the time" Army 1, Mexican Army 1, Small Town Honky Red Army 0, Yellow Bellied City Boy Army who thinks he's won more than the Small Town Honky 0, and in his absence, the Blue "I'm so in love with everything" Army, 0. We'll see how the tide changes come a few weeks from now. GO BIG REDMAN ARMY!!!!

Nothin' Special About Today....
Well, I had something I was going to write about today but I just can't remember what it was. I know that one of my closest friends is turning 29 today, but he doesn't like "Happy Birthday Blogs" so I'm not going to mention that he is ONE YEAR AWAY FROM 30!!!! It's just another day, another February 3rd. Yep, just another day... I thought about a pointless survey about how many people have had a birthday, but that survey would seem a bit too pointless. I know he likes surveys and all but that would just be a waste of our time. So, here's to February 3rd and to all who have ever had a birthday and ever will have a birthday!

(Thanks Bro. Gene, I LOVE THIS PIC!!!!!)
