Now, I am starting to get a bit of cabin fever... We've got about an inch of ice on the ground here in Iowa Park and you can't do anything that involves the outdoors or going somewhere. Kinda stinks! But, we all need to slow down sometimes, so its a good thing. I have had a bit of a "writer's block" for the past few days, thus the reason for not hearing from me in the form of a post.
I've decided to introduce you to a few guys that mean a lot to me. These guys are some of the most dependable guys I know. They are always willing to do whatever, whenever I need it, and they have gotten so good that they can almost tell what I'm saying just with a glance. These are the guys I work with on an almost daily basis. The funeral crew for Iowa Park. My four adopted Granddad's. From left to right: Bill, Jack, Glen, and Sam. Bill and Jack are both Baptist ministers, Jack refers to himself as a
"Retarded" Baptist minister, instead of retired, and I must say that we all agree. Glen is a retired school teacher from WFISD, if you went to Rider High, you probably know him, and Sam is a retired Police Officer from WFPD. If you ever got a ticket in Wichita Falls 10 or 15 years ago, you probably know him. They are each so different but all share a love for people in their own way. I just wanted to take a second and let them know that I really appreciate each one of them and all they do, and for putting up with me! I know I can be a bit demanding at times, but each one of them always come through and always have the smile you see here. Thanks guys, you are a rare group to come by!
Well, that being said, I am going to go back to my day and help my wife clean. Gotta make myself useful! We'll see everyone when the ice thaws!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUNIOR! You're a great guy, and we love you so much!
As for the men who are in this picture...I do not know them well, but when we've been called on to be with families in their time of sorrow, these men have been wonderful to us and all who attended. The Dutton Funeral Home Staff is the BEST! I don't know what my family would have done without you. Thank you ALL for your loving, caring, and professional help.
Lynn - a sweet post. Thanks for sharing about your "granddads", that was really cute.
Happy Birthday Jr. It is great to hear Lynn talk so well about all of his friends. Y'all are a neat bunch.
Ice will soon thaw and all will be "normal". Enjoy this time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COSME!!! We love and miss you!!!
Ditto to Sis. Elms' comments about Dutton Funeral Home.
Happy Birthday CO2! I am proud of you and your continued faithfulness. Don't ever give up!
I like you icy day post. I can relate with the cabin fever thing. I have a blog now and I was posting to it today as well. Happy Birthday CO2. I always thought he was a little carbonated when you get around him. :)
