Wonderful Business Opportunity

I think I'm going to open a funeral home that treats people like we are treated when we go to restaurants. Really! I think it would go over great. When the phone rings at 3 AM, I'll answer, then let off a huge sigh and say, "Well, can it wait til in the morning? Our Funeral Directing Staff has just shut down for the night." AND perhaps, "We don't have the blue casket for your FATHER, but we will substitute the PINK one instead." "Nope, you can't sit in that spot, you have to sit over there with all those people! I know you're family, but you are dressed in a black suit with a red tie. All those people have black and red on, you must be seated with them." What do ya think? Would it go over? OF COURSE NOT!!!! So, why do local restaurants think they can treat their customers that way? Is it just us, or is it the whole community? I dunno, I guess I'm just tired of the rolling eyes by hostesses, sighs of waiters, and closed kitchens before locked doors. Anyway, just thought I'd present that to you. "Nope, can't bury your grandma, I know that's what you want, but we can only perform cremations today. Our burial crew has already shut down their SHOVELS!!!"

Disclaimer: All thoughts were completely random from the past few weeks, from personal experiences at certain restaurants in town. Everything said was with the utmost respect for the business of dealing with those who have passed on.

No, it's not just "us"! It is Wichita Falls. The service at most of the restaurants in this town is horrible. You can go to anyother city and go to the same restaurant (ie. Chili's, Cheddars, etc.) and get excellent service.

You crack me up. As everyone knows, I have fumed recently at restaurants and finally got up and left one when they argued that hair in my food was just a string of cheese. HMMM....I have Puh-lenty of hair on my head to know the difference between hair and cheese. :)

Oh yes, we have run into it at times. I've never understood why restaurants close down BEFORE the closing time they have posted. I know that we treat all the wait staff in all of the restaurants with respect and give them good tips, so I really do not understand the situation. We have at times quit going to those restaurants for awhile, then return at another time, and the manager and work staff was much more appreciative of our business. We had one manager ask us why we hadn't been coming so we told him and he rolled out the red carpet. So, maybe you need to ignore some for awhile.
