Lots of Mexian Food and Lots of Rain

This past weekend Lynn and I went on a much needed weekend get away trip. We went to one of our favorite city's in Texas, San Antonio. The city kinda holds a special place in our hearts because we spent a part of our honeymoon there and we have gone back a few times since then.

I love everything about San Antonio, especially the food! I think we may have been Mexican in another life. We stayed at The Westin Hotel on the Riverwalk. I love their hotels, their beds are "Heavenly." They have these nice cushion pillow top mattresses with a feather down comforter.  I could of seriously slept all weekend long. It rained pretty much all weekend but that didn't stop us from getting out. On Saturday we went down to the Market and ate at Mi Terria. A family owned mexican restaurant that is opened 24hrs a day and I understand why. The food was delicious!I think that will have to be a must next time we are there. After we ate we went to the River Center Mall. I couldn't find anything I wanted there and they didn't have any kids stores,I thought that was weird. So we left ,went back and hung out in our room. We did get out for dinner and ate at our favorite place "Casa Rio." I love, love, love their food. I always rate a mexican restaurant by their hot sauce and theirs is by far the best! We got to sit outside by the river since the rain had let up. It was a perfect date!

I understand now why married people with kids always say "make sure you make a date night with your spouse." As much as I missed Miles, I really needed some alone time with Lynn. Miles is a rambunctious two year old and there are days I want to pull my hair out. So it was nice to get away and get rejuvenated. Plus Miles got spoiled rotten by his Nannie and Paw Paw. Glad we are home now and back to our crazy busy life.
